So this morning we had a phone call from the hospital telling us that all my Chemo appointments have been changed as the doctor can't make it this Thursday (nothing to do with it being a bank holiday I'm sure!) My new appointments shall start next Thursday instead!!!
On hearing this news Anna cunningly used the oldest and most effective weapon a woman can.... crying! She also pointed out to the hospital that since being given my chemo dates (dates we were told would never be changed) our parents had booked 3 separate flights to help look after the kids and the 'new appointment' of next Thursday was in fact our daughters second birthday!!!
After a short delay, the hospital phoned back to confirm the chemo dates shall remain as they are today!
Final Result: Anna 1 Hospital 0
So why a blog?
The simple idea behind this blog is to help us keep family and friends informed of whats been happening. As you all know, this year has been a little of a roller coaster ride for Anna & I and it's not always easy to find the time to update everybody with the latest news, we don't want this to be 'facebook' update of pointless drivel but somewhere where people can check to see how we are doing if they want to. Please don't feel obliged to visit or post, just come and have a look if you want to, take care and love to you all!
well done Anna - well saved! all quite confusing though - i thought they said that the number of days in between treatments was unchangeable..clearly not the case! glad you got sorted though....very cute video of Xavi....can we have one of Bella too at some point....miss watching her crashing into things and not caring in the slightest!! xxx
ReplyDeletegood work Anna. Hope the treatment goes ok. Great to be able to see how you're all doing - thanks for the invite.xx
ReplyDeleteHello Steve and Anna!
ReplyDeleteAnna well done. I use the same weapon than you when necessary (of course all the time) with my husband Pascal. It works very well with doctors as well...Steve, I am happy to see pictures of you with your wonderful babies. I just wait for the time I will be able to kiss all these pinky cheeks...In SMP5 office we miss Anna who is in holidays. We have a newcomer that you know: Simonette. I will bring you, for tea time, one of her bottle of wine (she is winegrower, you remember). She is part of SMP5 for 2 years. I have given her a project related to the SMP profiles in Optimize Skills for the moment. She is OK. Good news for us, I have opened a position to help Pascal and I on contracts negotiations. I cannot continue to do both taking care of the team and do operational things. Thank you Jean-Denis and Heino. I will replace Annick soon (she is returning in SMP2 for another long term contract and still having interviews for permanent positions) by an IT specialist in BO to help Anna and Cécile for the rating.Heino still plan to visit you on the 16th of December. Can you confirm that he can come and meet you (wherever you want to). He will come with Jean-Denis.
Jean-Denis is taking his marks. Funny to see someone beginning his new function. I was just in his situation one and a half year ago but fortunately I had you and the team to support me!
Last gossip: PM is leaving SMP (cannot be more precise for the moment...).
Love and kisses to you all. Sandrine T
Hoorah to the power of a girlie weeping fest!! I also thought these things were set in stone, obviously only until a bank holiday comes along! Xxx
